Dua orang insan manusia yang melihat dunia dengan cara pandang yang sangat berbeda. Yang satu percaya bahwa di dalam hidup semua sudah ditakdirkan dan sudah diatur oleh Tuhan. Sedangkan manusia yang lain beranggapan bahwa takdir terletak di dalam genggaman tangannya dan tergantung seberapa keras ia harus berjuang dan berusaha.

Arana Puteri dan Putera Langit.

“Aku ingin diperjuangkan. Aku ingin dihargai. Aku terlalu lelah untuk berjuang sendiri, Puteri.”

Arana terhenyak.
Setiap desir di dalam tubuhnya mencoba mengatakan sesuatu. Namun tidak ada lagi kata yang bisa terucap. Perpisahannya dengan langit terdengar begitu, mantap.

“Pada saat seperti ini aku tak lagi bisa merengek dan memohonmu untuk tetap tinggal, Puteri. Aku harus bersikap seperti layaknya seseorang dewasa yang bisa menerima keputusanmu dengan lapang dada.”

‘Aku tidak bisa memaksa orang yang kucintai untuk terus bersamaku dan berharap suatu saat nanti ia akan belajar untuk melihat cinta dari mataku. Perasaan memiliki dasar yang dalam. Dan kita semua tahu, tidak mudah merubah suatu dasar.’ Batin langit, dengan getir.

Di malam itu akhirnya ia melepaskan Arana dan terus mencoba melawan semua harapannya yang berkata Arana akan kembali padanya. Hanya butuh waktu. Langit percaya bahwa ada hal hal yang bahkan sang waktu pun tidak akan pernah bisa memudarkan, bahkan menghilangkannya. Seperti perasaan cinta. Dan waktu itu sendiri yang akan menguji cinta mereka.

Sudah hampir satu jam lamanya Arana duduk termenung di atas tempat tidurnya. Di hadapannya terpapar foto-foto dan semua barang yang mengingatkannya kepada Langit. Langit-nya. Tempat Arana biasa menyandarkan seluruh hidupnya. Arana mempercayai Langit-nya.

‘Mungkin cinta saja tidak cukup. Kalau memang tidak bisa lagi, tidak usah dipaksakan. Mungkin sudah takdirnya. Aku tidak mau menyakiti Langit lebih jauh.’

Bahkan tumpuan kata-kata tersebut pun tak mampu lagi mengukir perasaan hatinya.

‘Namun, apakah harus sesakit ini?’

Arana telah kehilangan Langit-nya. Kehilangan tempatnya berpijak dan seluruh isi alam semestanya di langit itu. Arana tidak tahu harus mulai darimana. Tetapi Ia telah membuat keputusan itu dan tidak boleh menyesalinya.

‘Semua sudah ada jalan-Nya.’

I recently watch Memoirs Of a Geisha for the second time and i feel very much in love with the movie so i decided to post some of my favourite quote from this movie, i hope you like them as much as i do.

Song Meaning:

This song tells about taking chances. Asking someone to have a courage and take a risk. Don't let the negative and downfall caught you up because currently you are blinded of what you are capable of. So take the chance, because usually when there's a breakdown or a tragedy, it's often cuase by love or something close to it and if feeling that of experiencing it, it's a beauty...

"Cause there's beauty in the breakdown", could also mean when people say 'whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger', just like the beauty. If there's no breaking then there's no healing, and if there's no healing then there's no learning. And if there's no learning then there's no struggle. But the struggle is a part of life....

The song meaning :
the first verse is saying when we were younger we weren't taught how to respect the opposite sex, so we can't have a normal relationship, it's not fulfilling.
then the second verse is saying that the boy isn't happy with himself and always looking at others as if they are better than he is. So he pretends to be someone he isn't.
The chorus saying that love is the only thing that binds us and we need to cherish it and show it to everyone we can. It could save our life.

The above, taken from Grey's Anatomy, is probably the truest form of lying. It's so true. We always have been taught that we are to tell the truth because its:

A) moral,

B) honest, and

C) the truth is always the best.

And as much as I do believe telling the truth is always the best way to go, why is lying easier?

People lie everyday. It may be a small fib to a enormous lie. Why do we deny when confronted about it. Are we not happy with ourselves to just tell the truth? Maybe it's because we are ashamed. I'm not sure.

I like to tell the truth. Basically because it keeps me out of any kind of trouble. But I fail. I lie. It may be small things like "Oh yeah, I do like your shoes" or sometimes bigger things.

We all claim that we lie to "protect" someone else. What a crock. We lie to protect ourselves. How sad? Not necessarily.

Life presents too many obstacles and too many difficulties to not lie. Lying can sometimes be helpful. Lying may buy you more time. Lying may be the only solution.
If you were to avoid all liars, you would be alone. You would have no one to talk to. Everyone lies. It's something we need to accept. Although, do not judge anyone on their lying. They can't help it. They are only human. I'm also, only human.

In the past few weeks i've been busy taking vocal training in my choir. Paduan Suara Mahasiswa (PSM) in Hasanudin University. According to schedule, we're going to attend a Choir Competition in Bandung. And i really hope that we're gonna win in this competition.

Paduan Suara Mahasiswa (PSM) Universitas Hasanuddin berada di posisi dua atau meraih perak di ajang World Choir Games, Austria. Lomba paduan suara mahasiswa ini diikuti 2.800 kelompok paduan suara dari 34 negara. Tampil meyakinkan di Hall Graz, Austria, PSM Unhas berhasil mengalahkan mantan juara dunia tahun lalu, Kroasia, yang kini malah di posisi ketiga. Korea tampil sebagai juara satu. Unhas lolos ke babak final setelah meraih Golden Diploma atau angka tertinggi untuk jenis lagu rakyat (folklore). Unhas berhasil memperbaiki prestasinya sebab pada ajang serupa di Xiamen, Cina, Unhas, tidak berhasil masuk babak final. Menurut Manajer Tim Pemberangkatan PSM Unhas, Haris Hody, tim PSM Unhas akan berangkat ke Jerman, Belanda, dan Perancis untuk memenuhi undangan duta besar negara sahabat untuk mempromosikan budaya Sulawesi Selatan. Tim menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih atas dukungan seluruh pihak sehingga PSM Unhas meraih prestasi tersebut.

So far, PSM unhas has succeded in winning a lot of competition, national and even international competitiopn soch as World Choir Games, Asian Choir Games, and recently won 3rd place on World Choir Competition in Gyeong Nam, South Korea.

But finally i start learning to love and learn more about the subject (i have my closest friend that help me to do that!). So now i really hope i can be a good doctor someday.

Priska Paramita atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Priska Idol (lahir 22 Mei 1989; umur 20 tahun) adalah finalis Indonesian Idol musik ke-4 2007. Ia berhasil masuk ke babak Spectakuler Show dengan memperoleh tiket wildcard. Ia tersisih pada malam Spectakuler Show yang kelima dan menempati urutan Top 8 dengan menyanyikan lagu Jatuh Cinta karya dari Titiek Puspa yang di-remake oleh Project Pop.

Biografi

Kesibukannya kini adalah menjadi mahasiswi fakultas kedokteran di Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. Keinginan Priska untuk menjadi dokter karena terinspirasi dengan profesi ayah dan ibunya yang juga dokter. Yaitu dr. Caroline, MARS (yang ternyata pernah menjadi penyanyi bintang radio di Makassar),dan Laksma TNI. dr. Tito Sulaksito, Sp.B Sp.OT, dokter spesialis bedah tulang.

Walaupun orang tua tinggal di Jakarta, tetapi Priska memutuskan kuliah di Makassar dan tinggal bersama tantenya karena jurusan kedokteran di kota tersebut bertaraf internasional dan cakupan prakteknya lebih luas.

Banyak prestasi yang telah ditorehkannya. Seperti pada tahun 2005, Priska sempat menjadi duta pariwisata Kepulauan Seribu dan sempat tinggal di sana selama beberapa waktu. Karena itu, Priska sangat peduli dengan masalah pendidikan dan kesehatan penduduk di sana.

Prestasi Priska lainnya adalah pernah menjadi juara lomba pidato dalam bahasa Inggris tingkat SMU se-Jabotabek.

Indonesian Idol

Langkah Priska menuju babak Spectakuler cukup berliku. Ia tersish di babak Workshop yang ketiga. Namun ia, Dimas, Andien, dan Benny diberi kesempatan melalui babak Wildcard. Dan ia bersama Dimas akhirnya menjadi finalis yang terpilih.

My Letter, a Year Ago.

I wrote this letter with tears and hurt a year ago. It's very emotional for me to publish it. But i think i've successfully going through that phase.
The phase of growing up and be a better person through releasing someone that i loved the most.
And Alhamdulillah, the love that I've released has finally comeback to me :)

In life, you don't need a lot to make you happy.
In love, you don't need to possess in order to feel joy.

I was really afraid to be so possessive of you until my love suffocates you; to love you so much until it becomes a burden to you, something you wish you could get rid of. If my love brings you pain and guilt, i'd rather not love you (perhaps i have to pretend not to).

We meeting up, messaging each other every other day, talking on the phone late into the night and the occasional fights even..
They've made me the happiest girl and I really couldn't ask for more.

Being able to care for you, to remind you to take your meals, to tell you the food you should avoid when you're having tummy ache.. These are ways in which I could love you without hurting you.

You once asked me, how can I be happy when the person i like actually loves someone else, how is it possible for me to like you and yet not want to be with you?
at that point, I didn't know how to answer you. But now, i do.

I can be happy; I can love you and yet not want to be with you simply because the person i love, is you.
And because loving you has taught me that love doesn't mean possessing. So when you need to be loved, I'm here.
But when you want to love, you're free to go, free to love anyone else you wish to love. believe me when i say it doesn't hurt me. Believe me when i tell you, you've made me the happiest girl.

So this is my hope, will you ever be happy? I'd keep praying for that. I wanna see you smile again, I wanna see you being blissfully in love, even if it isn't with me. It doesn't matter so long as I can see you smile.

If you wanna know why am I writing this? So that one day, when I really have to leave you, there would still be a memory of sorts..
Of a dream of a love that has yet to come true. So that one day, when I'm selfish enough to tell you just how much I love you and you wanna know just how much it took me to say it.. it's all here. Right here.

P.S : Oh My God. I Started to cry just now. This Letter has successfully open up the page of my heart. The page i remain silently closed. The page about my love story and also the hardest year of my life.
Anyway, Pii.. ILUSM. always have, and always will.

It's amazing the things you realize when you lose someone.
You get mad at yourself for not saying
the things you could have said a million times.
You take for granted the days you spent doing nothing
when you could have been with them.

But you're the only reason i love losing sleep.

And this feeling I get in my stomach when I think about you,

No question marks, no exclamation points! and no "buts."
I love you, flaws and all. Bottom line. No questions asked.

I love what you are, and what you do and how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength that carries you through. I've seen the best of you. I've seen the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. And i love you.

There's nothing more valuable than having someone in your life that reminds you of who you are.

Derek: I wanna be with you forever, and you wanna be with me forever. In order to do that we need to make vows. A commitment. A contract. Give me a piece of paper.

Meredith: I don't! I... I... I don't. I have post its!
Derek: (takes the post its and a pen) Ok. What do we wanna promise each other?
Meredith: That you'll love me... even when you hate me.
Derek: To love each other, even when we hate each other. (writes it down) No running. Ever! (Mer smiles and comes and sits in front of him) Nobody walks out. No matter what happens.
Meredith: No running.
Derek: (writes it down) What else?
Meredith: That we'll take care of each other, even when we're old, and smelly, and senile. And... if I get Alzheimer's and forget you...
Derek: I will remind you who I am, every day. To take care when old, senile, and smelly (writes it down) This is forever. (signs it) Sign.

Meredith: This is our wedding. A post it? (smiles)
Derek: Mhmmm. If you sign it.
Meredith: (signs it, and hands it back. Has tears in her eyes) Now what?
Derek: Now I kiss the bride. (They kiss)
Meredith: (smiling) Married.

Derek: (smiling) Married. (sticks their post it in Mer's locker) You see that? (Mer nods and smiles) Plenty of time.
